The LAYERS project represents an international initiative aimed at combating online gender-based violence (OGBV) throughout the Western Balkans, recognising this problem as a serious violation of human rights that undermines the dignity and safety of women and young people.
Through a multi-layered approach to capacity building, the project aims to empower youth workers, organisations and communities through a structured framework that includes education, mentoring for the practical implementation of youth initiatives and broad public awareness campaigns. The initiative directly promotes the active participation of young people as agents of change, providing them with non-formal education and digital skills necessary for recognising and combating digital violence, while simultaneously strengthening cross-border cooperation between EU countries and the region.
